Trip to Washington DC for the Cherry Blossom Festival
Saturday, March 28, 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm
International students and scholars (and their spouses) are invited to join a trip to Washington DC for the Cherry Blossom Festival.
Parents with child/children must drive your own car -- you cannot ride with our limited number of cars.
We will meet at the International House on 2810 N Calvert St. at 1:00 pm. Please have your lunch before coming.
We will drive 50 minutes to College Park (a city outside DC), park our cars, then walk to the Metro Station to take a train.
Cost: DC Metro SmarTrip card is $2.00. Bring your DC Metro SmarTrip card if you have one.
Cost of the fare from College Park to DC is $2.50 and another $2.50 for the trip back. So, you can fill $5.00 to your Metro card for the round trip. Here is a video how to buy and use a Metro card :)

We will exit at Waterfront Station in DC and walk to the Jefferson Memorial and circle the Tidal Basin.
We will depart around 6 pm from DC, take a train back to our cars in College Park, and drive back to Baltimore. Approximately, we will arrive between 7:30 pm – 8 pm.
We will close this registration when we reach maximum capacity.
Do not register if you are not sure that you will go. Only register if you are 100% sure. Space is very limited, since we have only a few cars. If you register, then cancel or don't show up for any reasons, you will not be allowed to join our next special event. You are wasting a seat that can be given to another student. This apply to all our special events.
